Leaves.

"Leaves" refers to the creation of leaf effects on items that are NOT trees (that's Foliage) and the creation of leaf-litter and water-lilies.

Ivy Leaves (Brown and Green)
Our small Ivy-leaves are ideal for creating the ultimate looking Ivy plant or other type of creeping plant and also for creating small piles of "Leaf-litter" to go on top of roofs, in gutters or wind-blown mounds anywhere.

The ideal way to apply the leaves is to individually apply them to the surface using a small dab of "Tacky-glue" to the rear section or underside pf the leaf and then, using tweezers, gently attach them to whatever you are sticking them onto. You can apply leaves for leaf-litter by putting down a blob of glue and scattering leaves onto it, this, however, is not ideal in that only a few of the leaves will be firmly attached and even these may wear off easily. If you press the leaves down into blobs of glue then you will often get ugly patches of glue exposed. Therefore taking the time to carefully position each and every leaf really is the ideal - it will also mean that your laves will go a lot further without any wastage, you will probably be surprised how few leaves it takes to make a big difference to a model or diorama.

Fine Leaves
Fine leaves were originally used for making tree-foliage on the sea-foam tree formers. Due to the quality of the Green Scene scatters however we no longer used the fine leaves and found ourselves with what we still thought was a good product but nothing to use it for... but not for long!

The fine leaves are tiny slivers of material cut to a roughly circular shape in a stamping process. Their tiny size is something that can be used to good effect especially on smaller scale models (25mm and under) and for some specific occasions where the "Ivy Leaves " product is not ideal.

One of these is creating water-lilies: the round shape of each leaf is ideal for placing next to one another on scenic-water to creating the absolute replica of lilies. Again individual application of these tiny leaves using a tiny spot of tacky-glue and tweezers is the best methodology. In addition to this these fine leaves are very useful for use on bases for figures, again their tiny size is advantageous over the larger ivy leaves and half a dozen or a dozen Fine Leaves can be made to look like fallen leaves (leaf litter) or various types of circular shaped plant leaves such as clover when glued flat onto a surface.
The "stylised" leaf shape is also ideal for making fantasy plants and if placed carefully can be fixed in a variety of position to add 3D effects to bases or added to tiny off-cuts of Sea-foam to represent the leaves of small bushes and other shrubs.

Finally these leaves provide another way of representing climbing plants such as Ivy or similar - in this case "draw" out the shape of the climbing plant you wish to use using a glue-syringe and tacky-glue, allow this a little time to start to set and then sprinkle the fine leaves over the drying glue, these will then stick in the pattern that you have drawn out with the glue.
Whilst this process is normally done using scatters the "Fine leaves" makes for a more dramatic and visually impressive result that scatter and for less effort than using our Ivy Stems and Ivy Leaves.
