Grandt Line Augmentables (Nuts & Bolts) Their products are scale-accurate made from injection plastics, but as their intended market is railway modellers the size/scales often do no relate easily to wargames figures and models. As such we've tried to photograph each individual pack to give an idea of actual size and given them names to help show potential uses. In general anything with a rounded shape works better for SteamPunk/Victoriana and anything square or rectangular looks better for sci-fi, but that's far from being a hard and fast rule: Sci-Fi hex Nut - This is ideally sized for 28mm sci-fi work and is a Hex-shaped Nut & Bolt. Actual size is approximately 1.5mm across. 100 per pack.
Large "Girders" NBW (Nut, Bolt & Washer) - This is a large circular NBW that works great on larger girders and especially for SteamPunk/Victoriana type settings. The NBW is approximately 3mm across and is quite prominent at around 2mm height. 50 per pack. Note - please don't be put off by the quality of this image as the quality of the actual nut is excellent, we will try to get better images.
Square Nut on Plate - Another handy sci-fi Nut this is a very small nut over a square base plate. Approximately 2mm across. 100 per pack.
The Tiny One! This is a tiny, tiny, little nut and washer that measures just under 1mm across. It's great for hyper-detailing practically anything you like right down to hand-held chainsaws. 175 per pack
Smooth Rivets - Smooth headed rivets just over 1.5mm across - ideal wherever you need rivets scaled for 28mm. 100 per pack Tips: Having difficulties with how to pick these up and place them?
Super-size Me! - A large rectangular washer plate with Nut & Bolt on top of it. THis is the ideal NBW for extra large girders or massive armour plate, it looks big and chunky and is very finely detailed. Size is roughly 4mm long by 2mm wide. 20 per pack Note - please don't be put off by the quality of this image as the quality of the actual nut is excellent, we will try to get better images.
Tiny Hex Nut - a smaller version of the standard sci-fi nut, this bolt is under 1mm in width and is ideal for hyper-detailing pretty much anything on a 28mm figure of small piece of scenery such as a "greeble". 175 per pack.
Square/Diamond Bolt -
Ideal for medieval doorways to simulate bolts and similar. Approx 2mm across. 100 per pack.
Square on Round - A small squared bolt on a round washer approximately 1mm across. This has quite a prominent profile so it stands out from smooth surfaces very well. It's excellent as a smaller NBW for Steampunk, Victoriana and similar but also works well for sci-fi. 175 per pack.
Poly-Prop Hinge Strip
AW Says: This stuff is fabulous: you can cut as thin a strip as you like and then glue one side to a wall and the other to a door or window etc - you then have a perfect working hinge, add a few nuts or bolts to the hinge strip to make it ultra-realistic. An absolute bargain and well worth having in your scratch-building arsenal.
